The Human Resources Department provides a personnel policy that is fair and effective for employees and management. We strive to increase the promotions of Quinault tribal members into positions within the QIN utilizing Career Development and training. We strive to hire the best - qualified person for each vacant position, abide by all employment laws and policies that affect the QIN, assist managemetn in the interpretation of policies and procedures and maintain personnel records for all QIN employees.

DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM COORDINATOR – CLOSE 03/09/12
Incumbent will act as a liaison between the multidisciplinary team, programs, and departments in providing comprehensive services for individuals with diabetes and their families. Manage the diabetes program to assure quality of services and serves as a leader in clinical and/or community diabetes programs. Must have BA in health-related field or be Registered Dietitian, CDE or eligibility prepared in accordance with ADA criteria, valid driver’s license and current CPR/First Aide. Supervisor: P Baller

TEMPORARY FAMILY SERVICES CASE AIDE – CLOSE 03/01/12
Perform work requiring knowledge and experience that is specific to the Family Services program. Organize and perform work related to program operations. Must have valid WA state driver’s license, pass background check, type 45+ WMP, and have at least an A.A., preferably in a related field OR 2 yrs of increasingly responsible para-professional, technical or clerical experience of which 1 yr in the specialized functional area may substitute for lack of A.A. FORESTER 1 (ONE POSITION TO BE FILLED) – CLOSE 02/24/12
Perform entry level professional and skilled technical forestry work in office or field. Perform a variety of professional projects and tasks within assigned specialized forestry programs, such as, forest timber stand examinations, forestry and timber sales contract administration, and assist in site preparation and forestry improvement activities. Must have: Valid WA state driver’s license; Bachelor’s degree with major study in forestry, forestry management or other related natural resource (ecology, wildlife, etc.), OR 4 years experience at Forest Tech 4 and/or 5 level, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. FORESTER 2 (TWO POSITIONS TO BE FILLED) – CLOSE 02/24/12
Manage projects, including responsibility for planning, design, project implementation and monitoring, and coordination of assigned section project(s). Responsible for supervision and completion of field, planning, and/or statistical projects. Recommend solutions to environmental impacts and other forestry management problems. Make technical decisions and interpret and apply federal and QIN regulations pertaining to forestry management. Must have Valid WA State driver’s license; Bachelor’s degree with major study in forestry, forestry management or other related natural resource (ecology, wildlife, etc.) and 3 years progressively responsible experience in professional forestry management activities of which 2 years shall be at the Forester 1 or Forest Tech 5 level, OR have 6 years experience at the Forest Tech 4 and 5 levels, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. HEAD START TEACHER – CLOSE 02/24/12
Establish and maintain a learning environment in Head Start classroom in accordance with program philosophy and principles; lead classroom team in providing instruction to students, evaluation of student performance, and provision of services to parents and families. Must have any one of the following credentials: AA degree with Child Development Associate (CDA) credential appropriate to the age of children served, Washington State awarded certificate which equals the CDA requirement, Bachelor’s degree in any field which included 12 semester units, or quarterly equivalent, in early childhood education or child development, AND 1 year pre-school teaching experience; OR AA degree in related field and 3 years work experience as a Head Start teacher. Must also have valid Washington State driver’s license; food handlers permit or obtain same before employment; first aid and CPR certification or obtain same before employment; Successfully pass applicable physical examination. This position requires a criminal background clearance and periodic Washington State Patrol record checks and drug testing. Supervisor: J Burnett

COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR – CLOSE 03/09/12
Position will oversee up to 50 programs. Duties include: budget development, report writing, supervision, policy compliance, and program compliance. Under general supervision of the Tribal Operations Director, provide administrative leadership, direction, and consulting expertise in utilities, community development, parks & recreation, building maintenance, custodial services, roads maintenance, day care services, commodities, and construction project management. Good written and oral communication skills are necessary. The workstation is located in Taholah, WA on the Quinault Indian Reservation. The service area includes the 208,150 acre Quinault Reservation with the communities of Taholah, Queets, Qui-nai-elt Village, and Lake Quinault. Must have BA in public administration, or business administration or related field is required, with 5 years of experience (Master Degree preferred). A valid state driver’s license is required.

SEASONAL FISHERIES TECHS IN QUEETS – CLOSE 06/29/12
Fisheries Technical Support Section will be hiring up to 25 seasonal workers in Queets from February through July 2012. Applications are accepted throughout the season to create a roster to activate personnel as needed. Rate of pay is $10.15 - $12.50 per hour DOQ up to 40 hours per week. Must be drug free and be willing to submit a UA. Desired qualifications include: enrolled Quinault Tribal member; prior fisheries experience; valid driver’s license; history of reliability; capable of strenuous activity; willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. DO NOT DELAY! Your application must be turned in or you will not be hired! We are starting earlier this year. First traps will be installed before 3/2!
